Project: Business Cases for Improved Waste Collection and Valorisation

Funded by: GIZ IMPACT

GIZ implemented technical cooperation projects: Open Regional Fund Modernisation of Municipal Services, “Municipal Waste and Wastewater Management in Serbia” (IMPACT II) and “Development of Sustainable Local Services” (Waste Management) in Kosovo* have jointly developed the Project: Business Cases for Improved Waste Collection and Valorisation. The project is funded by German Development Cooperation and is implemented in Bosnia and Hercegovina, Macedonia, Kosovo* and Serbia in partnership with solid waste associations and associations of local self-governments from participating countries.

The objective of the project is to assess the economic viability of advisory services for business process reengineering in order to use this potential for a broad and sustained dissemination of management instruments and business processes contributing to more efficient household waste collection and disposal services.

  • Professional Development for Operational Staff, Including Health & Safety

  • Cost centers and Tariffs

  • Customer base

  • Home composting

  • Route Optimization and Extension of MSW Collection Services in Selected Municipalities
